In the begining

Honkytonkmood began as a joke when Connie Kisner came to work one day and told fellow worker and friend Dale Schurg a joke about a guy being buried in a Rental Suit. Dale was inspired and said “that sounds like a Country song to me” The two put their heads together and wrote Rental Suit. Dale being an established Singer/Guitar player then added music to the lyrics and a joke became a song. Other songs came one after the other. One of the songs on the CD is a true story about Dale and his son. Seems one day Dale’s son, Dale Jr six years old at the time came running to his dad with a handfull of Monopoly money and said “Here dad I just want to pay you back for loving me” With a huge lump in his throat, Dale dropped to one knee and told the boy. Son you don't have to pay me back for loving you. My love for you is free! Dale then told the story to long time friend and fellow song writer James Miller. Mr. Miller then put his pen to work and scratched down a verse and chorus and sent it to Dale. Dale and Connie added another verse and Dale finished up with the music. Many years have past and even though both are older, they remember the incident like it was yesterday.
The songs were then copyrighted and even though the songs sounded great for in home recordings they lacked that professional quality. Dale then got together all of his savings and hocked valuable personal belongings to have the songs professionally recorded in studio on two separated occasions by studio musicians and singers. We are now offering these songs to you for your listening pleasure. Check out the song clips and feel the inspiration of the writers and their stories.. Thanks for stopping by and come again.
